Padmasambhava Day
Sunday 14 September 10:30am – 4:30pm
Padmasambhava is the person credited with establishing Buddhism in Tibet in the eighth century. His remarkable life has always been surrounded in myth, making him a magical and mystical figure.
The theme for this celebration day will be “Taming the Demons”.
We will be exploring the theme of how to tame the demons of the five poisons (ignorance, attachment, aversion, pride and jealousy) using guidance and stories from the life of Padmasambhava.
Padmasambhava is known for taming the demons of Tibet and we will explore how we can tame and feed our demons to transform them into energies that support our practice not by merely acts of violence but rather symbolic representations of transforming negative energies and obstacles into forces that support the dharma.
Please bring music instruments to play during the puja and it’s going to be a loud celebration to Padmasambhava!
