Newcomers Class
An introductory class teaching two meditations; The Mindfulness of Breathing and Mettā Bhāvanā practices as well as the fundamentals of Buddhism.
Suitable for complete beginners.
We teach two Buddhist meditation practices: Mindfulness of Breathing, for developing awareness, integration and clarity of mind; and Mettā Bhāvanā (“development of loving kindness”), which brings about a gentle but radical transformation of our emotional world, alternating between the two practices. Meditations will be led so there is no need for any previous experience.
Classes are free but your donations are greatly appreciated.
Arrive at the Buddhist centre in time to begin promptly at 1pm.
The class is especially suited for people who are completely new to meditation, and suitable for everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs.
