Buddhafield East Summer Gathering
Wednesday 20 August – Sunday 24 August
We will explore connections between the experience of Sangha (spiritual community) and the concept of murmuration in nature by exploring together ‘The Four Samgrahavastus’. These are the qualities of generosity, affectionate speech, beneficial activity, and exemplification that the Buddha taught as cultivating a unified community.
How can these qualities help us benefit our planet and all beings?
And of course, there will be all the usual Buddhafield East offerings of meditation, vibrant pujas, inspiring talks, dressing-up, workshops, children’s area, saunas, tasty vegan food, and enjoying community around the campfire, with songs, stories and laughter!

Unless you are joining the Set-up Camp, please plan to arrive from after lunch on Wednesday 20th.
please also join the Set-up Camp 18-20th. It's free!
The Set-up camp is a smaller camp that takes place prior to the Summer Gathering. It starts on the Monday and lasts until Wednesday when people start to arrive for the Gathering. Shared meals are provided from the Monday evening.
Everyone works together to set-up the big tents and other facilities for the Summer Gathering. We also meditate together, have meals together and sit around the camp fire in the evenings.
Its hard work, good fun and a great way to build community. What is more, the Gathering depends upon people joining the Set-up Camp so joining is an act of generosity, an important Buddhist practice. You can indicate your interest when you book for the Gathering.
