108 Year Pūjā

108 Year Pūjā

Monday 26 August 2019 9am – 11:30am

The 108 year Puja is held on the 26th August each year in all Triratna Centres across the world to celebrate the birthday of our teacher and founder Sangharakshita.

In a ceremony at the end of the 2003 Combined Order Convention, each Triratna Buddhist Centre received a wooden box containing special items, blessed by Sangharakshita, to be used just once each year on his birthday.

We'll be remembering Sangharakshita with his poems and writings, and some people will talk about meetings with him, and the evening will end with a sevenfold puja.

This event is suitable for anyone who is familiar with puja.
