Newcomers Class
An introductory class teaching two meditations; The Mindfulness of Breathing and Mettā Bhāvanā practices as well as the fundamentals of Buddhism.
Suitable for complete beginners.
This is a six week course introducing meditation and Buddhist teachings. The class runs from 10.30am to 1pm every Saturday from 18th September 2021.
During the course you will learn the two Buddhist meditation practices: Mindfulness of Breathing, for developing awareness, integration and clarity of mind; and Mettā Bhāvanā (“development of loving kindness”), which brings about a gentle but radical transformation of our emotional world.
In addition to learning meditation, we will introduce traditional teachings of the Buddha in a way that is accessible and practical to everyday life in the modern world.
This is a 6 week course. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is required. The cost for the whole course is £40.
The course is especially suited for people who are completely new to meditation and Buddhism, and suitable for everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs
