Newcomers Class
An introductory class teaching two meditations; The Mindfulness of Breathing and Mettā Bhāvanā practices as well as the fundamentals of Buddhism.
Suitable for complete beginners.
This is a six week course introducing meditation and Buddhist teachings. The class runs from 10.30am to 12:30pm every Saturday from 5th September 2020.
During the course you will learn the two Buddhist meditation practices: Mindfulness of Breathing, for developing awareness, integration and clarity of mind; and Mettā Bhāvanā (“development of loving kindness”), which brings about a gentle but radical transformation of our emotional world.
In addition to learning meditation, we will introduce traditional teachings of the Buddha in a way that is accessible and practical to everyday life in the modern world.
This is a 6 week course. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is required. The cost for the whole course is £25 if you are fully waged or £20 for concessions.
