Centre Maintenance Days

Centre Maintenance Days

The third Sunday of most months 11am - 4pm

Every week new people come into contact with the Dharma through our centre and we don't charge for our classes. Keeping the centre running and looking beautiful depends on the generosity of many people, not only financially, but practically - running and supporting classes, performing administration work, buying supplies, and of course the practical maintenance of the centre.

On the last Sunday of most months, a team of volunteers comes together to do the work and maintenance needed to keep the centre looking beautiful and suitable for our classes and events. The day normally takes place 11am - 4pm with a break for lunch around 1pm. The work normally involves painting, clearing and cleaning. Many people who come to the centre find volunteering on these days a great way to give back to the centre in a practical way.

If you would like to volunteer to help out for all or part of a work day, please contact Eddie, our building manager via contact@colchesterbuddhistcentre.com. No experience is required.

If you cannot volunteer directly but would still like to help, we always appreciate any supplies (tools, paint brushes, etc.) you can lend or gift to the centre. Another way you can help is of course by donating to the centre.
