Sangha Ramble

Sangha Ramble

Sunday 9 April 2023 11am – 3pm at Wivenhoe Trail

Join us for our first Sangha Ramble of the year. This event is open to all members of the our sangha and will consist of a walk in inspiring surroundings and an opportunity to talk about life, practice and the Dharma.

The walk will begin at the start of the Wivenhoe Trail in Colchester, on the riverfront opposite the lightship, then following the trail to Arlesford Creek and returning along the same route with a stop for refreshments in Wivenhoe. This will take about 3 hours and for the more adventurous there is the option of returning via Arlesford village and Cockaynes wood to Wivenhoe. You could also join the walk at Wivenhoe, meeting in front of the Rose and Crown pub at approx 11:30.

Suitable footwear is advised as some paths may be uneven as well as clothing appropriate for the conditions on the day. Please note that this is a ramble, not an amble. If the full route is too long for you then you could do part of it, joining or leaving at Wivenhoe or Arlesford. There is some on-street parking near to the start point or you could travel by train to Hythe station, and there are several bus routes from the town centre to the Greenstead Road Tesco's, which is nearby.

If you are interested in joining us it would be really helpful to book by clicking on the button below. There is no charge but it will help to know who is coming to ensure that we don't start without you.
