Come and visit us on our open afternoon to find out a little about Buddhism and meditation…

- Meet our volunteers and find out about the classes, courses and retreats we run 

- Learn how to meditate or how to take your existing practice deeper

- Meet like-minded people 

- Find more meaning in life

- Work with your emotions and thoughts

- Develop compassion and kindness towards others

 

30 minute meditation tasters will be run at 2:30pm and 3:30pm- but you're welcome to come at any time to ask questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I get there?

You can drop in any time between 2:15pm and when we close at 4pm. If you'd like to take part in the meditation taster session please arrive in good time for when the meditation sessions start at 2:30pm and 3:30pm

Can I just come for the meditation?

Yes of course

Do I need to be a Buddhist?

No, everyone is welcome regardless of religious beliefs

Do I need to book?

This is a drop-in session so there is no need to book

Is there a charge?

This a free event

Can I still attend if I am under 18?

All are welcome at our events and classes, however anyone under the age of 18 needs to have permission from a parent or guardian before attending. Anyone under 15 needs to be accompanied by a parent / guardian

Is there parking available?

As we are in the town centre we do not have onsite parking, the nearest car parks are Britannia and Napier Road.

We are also directly opposite the town train station and serviced by good bus links.

Bikes can be locked to the railings at the back of the building.

What should I wear?

Whatever you are comfortable and feel relaxed in. You will be asked to remove your shoes to enter the shrine room, so you may want to factor that into your footwear choice!
