Celebrating Chris Petts as he prepares to join the Order

Celebrating Chris Petts as he prepares to join the Order

Thursday 17 September 7pm – 9pm

We are delighted to announce that Chris Petts has been invited by the Mens' Ordination Team to attend a special Ordination Retreat at Padmaloka during which he will be ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order.

As many of you know this should have happened for Chris on 12th April but due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the closure of the Padmaloka Retreat Centre this was not possible and was postponed. However with strict measures in place this will now be possible and Chris will be on retreat from 25th September until 2nd October. His public Ordination - when we will all discover his name as he joins the Order - is planned to be streamed live on YouTube. We will of course share details of this when they become available.

As is traditional, before he goes, we will be having an evening to celebrate with Chris on Thursday 17th September as part of our Practice Night class, starting at 7.00pm. During the evening we will have a chance to rejoice in Chris and celebrate with him in the form of a puja.

Please come along to wish Chris well on the next important step in his journey.
