Buddha Day

Buddha Day

Sunday 3 May 10:30am – 4:30pm

All authentic Buddhist teachings can be traced back to the enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama who, 2,500 years ago, seated under the bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya, became the Buddha.

Come and join us on Buddha Day to celebrate this momentous event which ripples down the ages to affect our lives, here and now in Colchester.

We will have meditation, a talk and discussion exploring aspects of the Buddha’s enlightenment experience, and rituals to help draw out our own relationship to these events across time and space.

The day will start promptly at 10.30 - do come earlier if you’d like to have tea and a chat beforehand and you are welcome to bring your own offerings for the puja.

Please bring vegan lunch to share
