This six week course follows on from the Introductory Course in Buddhism and Meditation and offers a lively and systematic introduction to the Eightfold Path. Starting with an emphasis on Vision, it takes relative newcomers though the process of transformation: emotion, imagination, speech, right livelihood, and effort and attention in meditation.

Do I need to be a Buddhist?

The course is especially suited for people who are completely new to meditation and Buddhism, and suitable for everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs

Do I need any previous experience of Buddhism or Meditation?

This course is a follow on from the 6 week introductory course so it is ideally suited to those with some experience particularly of the two meditations taught at Colchester; the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Mettā Bhāvanā

What should I wear?

There are no special requirements, just whatever is comfortable to sit in

Do I need to book?

Yes. As places are limited booking is essential

How much does the course cost?

The total cost of the course is £40 for the full six weeks

Can I still attend if I am under 18?

All are welcome at our newcomers classes and courses however anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If this is not possible it will be necessary to bring written permission from a parent of guardian if you are under 18 and would like to attend
