Our teachers are practicing Buddhists who are ordained into the The Triratna Buddhist Order - part of a worldwide Buddhist movement.
We have been teaching Buddhism and meditation in Colchester for over 35 years.
The class teams are volunteers who give their time and energy to share the Buddha's teachings.

Colchester Buddhist Centre is run on generosity.
We think it is important that we do not charge people to access Buddhist teachings so we do not charge for our regular classes. We simply ask that those who are able to make a donation towards our running costs.

Men's Day. An Introduction to the Heart Sutra.

Maintenance Day
Sunday 2 March 10:30am – 4pm
Please come along and help us keep the Buddhist centre looking beautiful.
The maintenance day is an opportunity to spend the day in good company, getting to know Sangha members. It is also, of course, an opportunity to take care of the building - which needs a lot of looking after.
You don't need great DIY skills to be able to contribute, but if you are a DIY pro then you will of course be very welcome!
Please let us know if you plan to come along, it helps with organising the day.
