Mixed Mitra Day
Sunday 5 July 10:30am – 4:30pm
Join us for a special day exploring the often overlooked voices of the early Buddhist women — the first nuns whose courage, insight and lived experience helped shape the Dharma we practise today.
Together we will look at how these remarkable women navigated motherhood, grief, constraint, longing and liberation, and how their stories continue to influence modern Buddhist practice. Through talks, discussion, ritual, meditation and gentle practise, we will bring their voices into the present and reflect on what they offer us now.
The day will include:
- Talks on the lives and teachings of the early nuns
- Group discussion and shared reflection
- Sevenfold puja
- Gentle meditation and grounding exercises
This is a day for mitras and order members.
Please bring your own lunch.
