
Introduction to Meditation & Buddhism in Clacton-on-Sea

This is a six week course introducing meditation and Buddhist teachings.
During the course you will learn the two Buddhist meditation practices: Mindfulness of Breathing, for developing awareness, integration and clarity of mind; and Mettā Bhāvanā (“development of loving kindness”), which brings about a gentle but radical transformation of our emotional world.
In addition to learning meditation, we will introduce traditional teachings of the Buddha in a way that is accessible and practical to everyday life in the modern world.
This is a 6 week course. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is required. The cost for the whole course is £30.

All our welcome at our newcomers classes and courses however anyone under the age of 18 needs to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If this is not possible it will be necessary to bring written permission from a parent of guardian if you are under 18 and would like to attend

The class is held at the Quaker Meeting House, a 5 minute walk from the station. There is free street parking on the road.
