Online Clacton Saṅgha Night - Not currently running
PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS IS NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING
Given the current precautions we have taken with moving classes online we are not, at the current time, providing separate classes for those based in Colchester and Clacton.
If this is the class you would normally attend, we would encourage you to come along to one of the other classes being held on Zoom, until such point as we can re-open the in-person Clacton group and warmly welcome you back (with a nice cup of tea).
[Schedule for when the Clacton class re-opens]
At the start of the evening the class will divide into two with one group undertaking the 6 week newcomers class and the other meeting for the usual Sangha evening of meditation, talks and Dharma discussion.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience. The evening is usually structured in two halves. In the first half there is a meditation practice, and after a short comfort break, we will explore an aspect of Buddhism with a talk from one of our ordained members from the Colchester Buddhist Centre.
Classes are free but your donations are greatly appreciated. Make an online donation here

What time should I login to the session?
The leader of the class will join just before 7pm. Until this time if you try to login you may be asked to wait until they arrive. It is good to be ready for the session before you login, so make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need to hand.
What if I am late and can't join until the session has started?
When you join the session your microphone will automatically be muted although your camera will be visible, so provided that you are already sitting and still you should not disturb the class.
What should I wear?
There are no special requirements, just whatever is comfortable to sit in.
Do I need to book?
No - just login before 7pm!
Do I need to be a Buddhist?
The class is especially suited for people who are completely new to meditation and Buddhism, and suitable for everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs.
How much does the class cost?
We don't charge for our classes, and the team are not paid for their time. We simply ask that those who are able to do so make a donation to the centre to help us cover our running costs.
See the link on our web site to enable you to make a donation.
Can I still attend if I am under 18?
All are welcome at our classes however if you are under the age of 18 please contact us in advance of joining the session (firstname.lastname@example.org)
