Therapeutic and healing from the inside out, Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath) and Relaxation interwoven with yogic philosophy. Chrissie teaches a series of integrated movements which refresh, rejuvenate and bring feelings of calm.

Yoga is a practice of breaking down the cycles of stress accumulated within the body and cultivating the inner balance which is crucial to our health, vitality and well being.
The word yoga derives from Sanskrit, and means to connect or unite. Hatha is a physical asana practice to bring the mind and body into equanimity, laying down the foundations for pranayama and meditation.
Benefits of yoga - balance, strength and flexibility of the whole body. Uplifting, light and joyful effects whilst developing the art of mindfulness. Yoga improves digestion and general muscle tone whilst increasing the ability to relax. Focus is improved and stress of the mind and body is reduced.

Encouraging, Supportive Practice.
Working one to one with students can help deepen their personal practice. Chrissie offers guidance to help work positively with specific areas of interest in the body. Her sensitivity and skill enables students to enjoy the Yoga experience, encouraging them to listen to their bodies, avoiding all effort, resistance and strain.

Chrissie discovered the practices of yoga and meditation after travelling to India. She has frequently returned to India to study and live in an ashram. In 2007 she completed a foundation course with the British Wheel of Yoga, and went on to complete a three year teaching diploma with the BWY.
Included in her 3 year course was the classical approach of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, alongside the influence of the Scaravelli approach to yoga. Since 2006, Chrissie has attended week long silent Buddhist meditation retreats, and a 10 day Vipassana meditation course. Regularly attending workshops and retreats with internationally respected yoga and meditation teachers, such as Peter Blackaby, John Stirk, Gary Carter and Tara Fraser, continues to improve and enrich her student’s experience.
Chrissie is a dedicated and engaging teacher. She brings integrity, a wealth of knowledge and a sense of joyfulness to her classes, helping students to enjoy the experience of yoga. Her classes are popular, with a friendly atmosphere.
